Important Information for Providers, Practitioners, Stakeholders and Plans Regarding Transition of New York MEDICARE case review activities

Upcoming changes coming on August 1, 2014 to the QIO Program

 

As of August 1, 2014, all current and future Medicare beneficiary quality review case work, higher weighted DRG requests and appeals currently performed by IPRO will be conducted by Livanta. This change is part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) program transformation effort. Please note the following important information:

  • At midnight, July 31st IPRO’s toll free helpline numbers will be “ported” over and continue to be answered by Livanta during an interim transition period to allow providers/plans/stakeholders time to revise Notices and beneficiary communications.
  • The following Livanta toll free numbers WILL GO LIVE on AUGUST 1st
