The IPRO Community Advisory Panel (CAP) provides a forum for ensuring that the voice of the patient is represented in a meaningful and substantial manner aligning with IPRO’s quality improvement activities. The CAP brings together patients, family members, care partners, and patient advocates representing the diverse and multi-cultural populations of the healthcare communities in which we work, in an effort to:
- Improve the patient experience across the care continuum
- Incorporate the patient perspective in activities and materials developed by IPRO
- Enrich the participation of patients, family members and care partners in IPRO coalitions and Learning and Action Networks.
The IPRO CAP is characterized by the core values of collaboration, patient empowerment, quality improvement, respect, innovation and open communication. Its central goal is to make healthcare safer, more coordinated, reliable, accessible and patient-centered.
