Atlantic Quality Innovation Network (AQIN)
The Atlantic Quality Innovation Network (AQIN) is the Medicare Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for New York, South Carolina, and the District of Columbia. Led by IPRO, a national organization based in Lake Success, NY, AQIN is one of 14 Medicare funded QIN-QIOs operating across the U.S.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders on data-driven quality initiatives that improve patient safety, reduce harm, and improve clinical care;
- Create opportunities for healthcare professionals to learn from each other, applying advanced improvement and analytical methods, engaging Medicare beneficiaries and their families, and structuring processes for sustaining positive change; and
- Advocate for patient needs, empowering beneficiaries and their families to standup for person-centered care through our quality improvement initiatives.
The QIO program is one of the largest federal programs dedicated to improving health quality at the community level. QIN-QIOs assist patients and families, healthcare professionals and communities to make care safer; support active engagement and self-management of chronic conditions; eliminate health disparities; promote best practices for healthy living; improve access to care; and make care affordable.
