LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. – Herman Jenich, Jamesport, NY, has been named Senior Vice President, Chief Data & Analytics Officer at IPRO. An accomplished professional with a track record of enabling data-driven decision making, Jenich previously served as Vice President for Population Health at Cerner, where he led Value Based Care product strategy and championed innovative approaches to product adoption and client value creation.
At IPRO, Jenich will be tasked with increasing the sophistication and efficiency of the analytic services that IPRO provides to its customers, with a focus on turning analytic insights into sound advice.
“I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues at IPRO to build a team with deep expertise across a broad range of analytics, including quality measurement, cost and utilization, predictive modeling, determinants of health, artificial intelligence, and more,” said Jenich. IPRO will use this expertise to expand the scope of analytics that it provides to existing customers and to broaden its capabilities to encompass more program evaluation, population health, and advisory services.
Jenich had a previous stint at IPRO in the 1990s. During that time, he helped build two new product lines and expanded the organization’s managed care work outside of New York State. His other previous roles include serving as the Chief Analytics Officer for xG Health Solutions and as Vice President of Clinical and Financial Solutions for Anthem, where he led a team that created analyses and applications to manage $50 billion in medical and pharmacy spending across 35 million insured lives. Jenich additionally served as Health Management Corporation’s (HMC’s) Vice President of Clinical Informatics.
Jenich holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Biology from Oberlin College. He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and served for 12 years as an NCQA-Certified HEDIS Compliance Auditor (CHCA). In addition, he also serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal for Healthcare Quality (JHQ).
