LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. – Theresa Jacobellis, Centerport, has been named Director, Communications Solutions at IPRO, a national, not-for-profit healthcare quality improvement organization headquartered in Lake Success, New York.
Jacobellis previously ran PrescRXptive Communications, LLC, a healthcare marketing communication firm that she founded in 2017. Prior roles including serving as Vice President of Marketing at Paradigm Health Plans, Assistant Vice President of Public Affairs and Marketing at Catholic Health Services, and Director of Public Affairs at Huntington/Northwell Health. In addition, she is an assistant adjunct professor in the graduate public relations program at the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University. She holds a master’s degree in health communication from Boston University.
At IPRO, Jacobellis will be charged with enhancing the corporate identity and raising the organization’s profile within the public health arena, as well as providing communications support to IPRO teams engaged in contract work on behalf of clients. These include federal agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), state Departments of Health and providers in the private sector.
In addition to her professional experience, Jacobellis is Executive Vice President of the Board of Public Relations Professionals of Long Island and a board member of the Health and Business Alliance. Her work has garnered national awards including the Aster Award, the Healthcare Advertising Awards, and the Cardiovascular Advertising Awards.
