NYC Health + Hospitals
New York, NY
For organization-wide commitment to improving patient care and reducing HAIs. A concerted effort led by Eileen O’Donnell, Assistant Vice President for the Office of Patient Centered Medical and Professional Affairs, resulted in the majority of the hospitals within NYC Health + Hospitals having achieved significant improvements in their rates of central line bloodstream infections and catheter-associated urinary tract infections. In addition, all hospitals within the system have consistently been reporting C. difficile rates lower than the national benchmark.
