IPRO is pleased to inform you that, effective immediately, we will be electronically requesting medical records for Medicare review using “Secure Messenger”. Secure Messenger is an inbound/outbound email security solution for secure and compliant exchange of confidential electronic data.

To enroll in our Secure Messenger system, you must first receive an invitation email from IPRO. This email will be sent to you from an existing IPRO user. When this first time secure email is received, you will be required to perform a one-time, self registration. Once the registration is complete, an email will be sent from IPRO’s Email Firewall Notifier that a new secure mailbox has been created. You will then have the option of composing, replying or forwarding protected health information via secure email to IPRO.

As the designated IPRO Liaison, the invitation to enroll in IPRO’s Secure Messenger will be emailed to you. Please contact Nancy McGrath, Administrative Assistant, Department of Medicare/Federal Health Care Assessment, by email at NMcgrath@IPRO.org, if you need to designate a different recipient for this invitation.

Should you have any questions in regard to this memorandum, please contact Andrea Goldstein at 516-209-5364.
