IPRO Achieves SOC 2 Type 2 Approval for Data Security

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. – IPRO, one of the nation’s leading healthcare quality improvement organizations, has completed a SOC 2 Type 2 audit and received an “unqualified opinion” indicating that the organization meets standards for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ “trust service principle” concerning security.

“Achieving the SOC 2 Type 2 unqualified opinion validates that IPRO is a trusted steward of client data, including protected health information (PHI) and other sensitive information,” said Ted Will, CEO. “This finding affirms IPRO’s commitment to our data security program to our key stakeholders, clients and partners.”

IPRO’s audit, which was performed by an independent accounting firm, was focused on stringent requirements of the SOC 2 security framework. The audit examined IPRO’s written policies and procedures, as well as practices concerning data protection, backup and disaster recovery, access control, security solutions, staff training and physical security.
