Leveraging Measurement Science to Improve Healthcare Quality
The Center for Performance Measurement supports the creation, monitoring and evaluation of performance measures. It is staffed by an interdisciplinary team that brings a broad and deep range of subject matter expertise that covers Medicare, Medicaid, infection measures, patient experience, sepsis, performance improvement, and HEDIS-like measures. The Center’s activities benefit providers, hospitals, health plans, state health departments engaged in eternal quality review, federal healthcare quality improvement projects, accountable care organizations (ACOs), value-based payment projects, organizations interested health equity, and more.

Staff Expertise
The Center’s team of highly qualified and credentialed professionals is comprised of clinician researchers, performance measurement science experts, data scientists, benchmarking experts, quality management specialists, and others who fulfill project specific roles including
- Project Manager – Master’s degree and project management certified
- Project Director – PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree
- Clinician – Registered Nurse, Advance Practice Registered Nurse, Physician’s Assistant, or Physician
- Statistician – Master’s degree
- Researcher – PhD or Master’s Degree
