IPRO Employee Debora Santiago Named Chair of NAIRO Legislative Committee

January 21, 2025 – Richmond Hill resident Debora Santiago, DBA, CPC, CPMA, CRC, CPCO, CPC-1, Senior Director, Independent Dispute Resolution at IPRO, has been elected Chair of the Legislative Committee of the National Association of Independent Review Organizations (NAIRO), an industry trade association dedicated to maintaining integrity of medical peer review and utilization review processes.

In this role, Santiago will attend monthly meetings to provide NAIRO members with updates on trends, pending legislation, and more. She will also attend an annual symposium to discuss the latest developments and ideas with industry peers.

At IPRO, Santiago leads the strategic planning, development, and day-to-day management of the Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) program, overseeing operations related to the No Surprises Act and other critical consumer protection laws at the state and federal level. Before joining IPRO, Santiago was the Senior Director of Coding and Quality Operations at ProHealth Optum where she managed revenue cycle operations across multiple locations. Prior to that, she served as NYU Langone’s Department of Vascular Surgery FGP Revenue Cycle Manager.
