Utilization Review

IPRO has performed tens of thousands of reviews for medical necessity and appropriateness and has extensive experience handling appeals of denial of care and payment. IPRO makes objective determinations on appeals covering the full range of disputes among enrollees, providers and health plans such as eligibility, contract interpretation, medical necessity, and experimental/investigational treatment.

Center for Program Evaluation

The Center for Program Evaluation works with state Medicaid programs as well as other public health programs to conduct independent program evaluation using comprehensive mixed-method, qualitative and quantitative investigations to help manage and advance their missions. Program evaluation is on the cutting edge of healthcare quality improvement as Medicaid patient-centered programs strive to reduce costs while assuring quality. These models of care shift the paradigm for patients and often necessitate ongoing monitoring to ensure beneficiaries are able to access the full range of healthcare services they require.

Center for PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT

The Center for Performance Measurement at IPRO is an interdisciplinary team that brings a broad and deep range of experience to performance measurement activities. With deep subject matter expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, infection measures, patient experience, sepsis, performance improvement, and Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS)-like measures, our experience spans providers, hospitals, health plans, external quality review contracts, physician advisors, MIPS, and more.
