The IPRO Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) provides a forum for ensuring that the voices of patients and family members are represented in a meaningful and substantial manner aligning with IPRO’s quality improvement activities. The PFAC brings together patients, family members, care partners, and patient advocates representing the diverse and multi-cultural populations of the healthcare communities in which we work, in an effort to:
- Improve the patient experience across the care continuum
- Incorporate the patient perspective in activities and materials developed by IPRO
- Enrich the participation of patients, family members, and care partners in IPRO coalitions and Learning Action Networks
The IPRO PFAC is characterized by the core values of collaboration, patient empowerment, quality improvement, respect, innovation, and open communication. Its central goal is to make healthcare safer, more coordinated, reliable, accessible, and patient-centered.
